Alice Poole Architects design many purpose made kitchens using different specialist joinery firms or suppliers to achieve the finished results.

Alice Poole works closely with her clients to ensure that not only the style and aesthetics but also the functionality and ergonomics of the kitchen suit their individual requirements. Each kitchen is unique and every year kitchens are entered for The Design Awards and the Certificates shown in the Awards section record their success. Several kitchens have been featured in interior design and specialist kitchen publications.

The kitchen entered for the Kitchen of the Year 2009 Award provided contrasts, both factory made white gloss units and natural walnut units made by a joiner. (Beautiful Kitchen Article). These elements gave the contrast between cheap and expensive, inorganic and organic, factory made and handmade. White glass splashbacks provided a canvas for the coloured under and over unit lighting which gave different moods to the space.
