150 Harley Street

150 Harley Street is an 18th century Grade II Listed 6 storey building with a basement which was originally built as a family house. In common with most Harley Street properties it is now occupied by a practice of specialist medical consultants and ENT at 150 Ltd who carry out a comprehensive range of private consultations, investigations and treatments of ear, nose and throat complaints occupy the building. There is residential accommodation on the third and fourth floors, which have been arranged as two self-contained flats.

The property was structurally in urgent need of stabilising as there were major structural problems and the property was also in need of refurbishment and redecoration to bring the facilities in line with the current Building Regulations and Medical Standards required for a property of this use. The design aim was to provide a balance between the residential and commercial uses to enhance the status of the property with the new medical facilities to current standards of health and safety and the latest technology was provided to allow the very highest standards of patient care. Previously there was no disabled access and the new layout made all medical facilities readily accessible to disabled people with a new disabled access lift installed.

The refurbishment also allowed all the original features to be retained and restored so that the integrity and character of the property was not compromised.
